Additional Features:  

LockDownMyID does not offer the additional features of credit reporting or coverage for family members. LockDownMyID does reduce unwanted mail and phone calls by helping you remove your name from mailing lists and putting your name and number on the National Do Not Call list.

Help/Support:  

LockDownMyID does not offer any phone support, but will help you take your identity in your own hands with online help and a FAQs section. They also issue a monthly newsletter for members.

Information Protected:  

All of your identifying information is stored in a password-protected member area, not on a LockDownMyID Server. This no-risk approach is unique to LockDownMyID.

LockDownMyID is a good option if you aren’t willing to give any information to any company that will be saved on their server. Since you don’t give up your power of attorney at all, you keep your identity in your own hands. It’s a good way to go if you’re extra cautious and are willing to do all the work yourself.
